Innovate Engineer owns the upstream validation work: testing whether you have the right product idea before any engineering money is spent. Cast Iron CAD picks up where Innovate Engineer ends and takes the validated product to manufacture.
The framework you worked through with Innovate Engineer was distilled from real Cast Iron CAD delivery, then licensed back. Same playbook, two stages, two clean handovers. T3 · Expanded Specification
You arrive with a documented specification, prioritised features (MoSCoW), and an outline of design, engineering and sourcing requirements. Cast Iron CAD’s first scoping call sizes the engineering work that follows.
T4 · Handover-Ready Package
You arrive with a Cast Iron CAD project estimate already in hand. The £699 deliverable explicitly includes a one-hour Cast Iron CAD consultation and a written project estimate produced by us. Fastest path from idea to engagement.
Both tiers are priced and bookable on Innovate Engineer. Cast Iron CAD itself doesn’t operate price-transparent tiers; every engagement is sized to your specific project at the scoping conversation.

Innovate Engineer’s tier prices (£129 / £399 / £699) are transparent and productised: same shape per tier, regardless of project. That’s why fixed-price works there.
Cast Iron CAD’s engineering work is sized to your project at the scoping conversation. A pre-tooled enclosure for a small electronics product and a multi-material appliance with regulatory compliance are different orders of magnitude in engineering hours, so we size each from the scoping call and agree a written estimate (fixed-fee or capped-time, your call) before any engineering starts. Indicative range for a typical full development: about £15k to £50k and above, plus VAT. Smaller pieces of work are welcome and are scoped and quoted on their own.
